DIGEST OF RULES

This Digest of Rules of the Animation Dance Association (ADA Sport) has been prepared to aid players, fans, and members of the press, radio, and television media in their understanding of the sport. It is not meant to be a substitute for the Official Rulebook. In any case of conflict between these explanations and the official rules, the rules always have precedence.

The Animation Dance Association (ADA Sport) is a New Global Digital Sport, where eight (8) professional animation teams compete for the ADA Sport Championship Title.
There are two (2) professional animation leagues: Alpha League and Omega League. The Alpha League consists of: Cowboys, Spartans, Crocodiles, and Cardinals. The Omega League consists of: Giants, Kings, Dragons, and Eagles.

In order to participate in the ADA Sport Championship each Team has to create Animated Clips.
Each Clip must fit the following specifications:
    - Must be 20-90 seconds in length.
    - Must have 10 full seconds of character “dancing”, and/or choreographed movement.

The Animated Clip will contain unique characters, plots and themes. The challenge for the Teams is to provide the best Animated Clips in the hopes of winning each "Battle".
A "Battle" is the term used for each 24-hour competition in which 2 Teams are pitted against one another with their Animated Clips. The Viewers from around the world vote for their Favorite Clips and Favorite Teams and are judges for the sport. These votes determine the Battle outcome, and the Team with the most votes is announced during each "Face-Off" (the 24-hour "Battle" timeframe begins at the end of every "Face-Off").
The term "Face-Off" is used to describe the broadcast of the Battle where the winner is decided. The "Face-Off" is the actual LIVE airing of the show that occurs daily at 7PM PST (GMT -7). The votes are tallied immediately before show time and the winner is announced by the host of the day.

The winner earns points that will determine who will compete for the coveted ADA Super Cup at the end of each Regular Season.
Duration of ADA Sport's Championship Cycles is 35 days, and it consists of:
Regular Season
Semi-finals
Finals

Regular season
Every day, the two Teams that square off in an animation Battle depends on the schedule for the current Season ().
Each team has four (4) clips during the regular season. Each clip will compete a total of two (2) times and must be utilized consecutively, regardless of wins: 1st burn and 2nd burn accordingly. Therefore, each Team will have a total of eight (8) battles. Of these eight (8), each Team will have six (6) Intra-League (within same League) and two (2) Inter-League (Cross-League) battles.

Each Team will have the opportunity to face every other Team within their League on two (2) separate occasions. The Inter-League match-ups will be changed every season depending on previous season outcomes.

Each Intra-League battle is worth two (2) points while each Inter-League battle is worth three (3) points. Points are tabulated and are reflected in the overall team standings on the website (link).

After each team presents four (4) of their clips during the regular season, the top two (2) teams (based on points) in each league will compete in the semi-finals.

Semi-finals
The first and second place teams in each league compete against each other to determine who will represent their league in the final championship face-off. Therefore, there are two (2) battles in the Semi-Final, one for each league.

The rules of the semi-finals remain the same as the regular season. Each team must introduce one new clip for the semi-finals (5th clip of the season).

The Final
Once the semi-finals are completed and the voting public has determined the top two (2) Teams, these Teams face-off in the Final to determine the ADA Sport Champion.
In the Final, the rules remain the same. Each Team presents one new clip (6th) and fans vote for 24 hours to decide a winner. The final face-off will announce the winner of the prize money and the ADA Super Cup.

The winner of the Final will be the inaugural ADA Sport Champion.
The winning team will get $15,000 cash and the ADA Super Cup Trophy.
